Algebra II deepens students’ understanding of algebraic concepts and introduces powerful new tools including complex numbers, advanced functions, logarithms, and trigonometry. Students develop logical reasoning and critical thinking while applying math to real-world scenarios. This course prepares students for Pre-Calculus, college entrance exams, and STEM fields.

  • Systems of Linear Equations & Inequalities

  • Quadratic Equations & Complex Numbers

  • Graphing and Inverses of Quadratic Functions

  • Polynomial Operations & Graphing

  • Rational Expressions & Equations

  • Radical Expressions & Equations

  • Function Features: Domain, Range, Intercepts, and Behavior

Semester 2:

  • Exponential Functions & Growth/Decay

  • Logarithmic Functions & Equations

  • Laws of Logarithms & Extraneous Solutions

  • Introduction to Trigonometry & Unit Circle

  • Graphing Trigonometric Functions

  • Absolute Value & Piecewise Functions

  • Probability, Data Modeling & The Normal Curve

  • Sampling Methods & Real-World Data Interpretation

This is a flipped classroom model:

  • 📹 At Home: Students watch short video lessons and take notes (videos provided).

  • ✏️ In Class: Students apply concepts through guided practice, activities, and group and independent work.

  • 🗂️ Includes: Full-semester printed math binder, guided notes, enrichment, review, and assessments.
